Driving

Granny has been volunteering and driving her ponies weekly for the "Riding for the Disabled" for many years now.  She has also taught many of her Grandchildren and is now teaching Tanzin how to drive the horse and cart, using her two older and patient ponies, Apollo and Honey Blossom.

These photos were taken on Sunday at G&G's annual driving competition.  Tanzin's only driven three times, and with granny as her groom, she did exceptionally well.

Tanzin is going to horse camp next week for a week to learn how to drive, muck out, look after ponies etc.  Fortunately, she will be with her 4 older cousins, Katie, Emily, Sam and William, who have been attending this camp for many summers now.  She is SO excited!  She'll be sleeping in a tent with another 10 year old girl and between you and me, I don't think she'll ever work so hard, so it'll be very interesting to see how she goes!

PS - UPDATE.....  Tanzin rocked camp!  She loved it so much and learnt a great deal.  She was so happy with her prizes and won best washer-uperer!  Also best young camper.

We went to camp to watch her on her final day (Friday)  She drove those ponies exceptionally well and with a huge smile.  We were all so proud and I let out a huge sigh of relief!

She is a beauty and reminded me of my horse, Brandy

Not too sure if daddy is keen on being backseat driver!
